About the Role

Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to provide technical leadership across surface water, groundwater and mine water management activities throughout the Group.

This role plays a critical part in supporting safe operations, production continuity, project delivery, regulatory compliance and responsible water stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hydrology and hydrogeology expertise across operations, projects and Life of Mine planning.
• Develop and maintain site water balances, dewatering strategies, water supply plans and water risk registers.
• Assess groundwater, surface water, flooding, water quality and water supply risks for underground and open pit operations.
• Scope, manage and review consultant studies, groundwater models, flood assessments and water infrastructure designs.
• Prepare technical reports, management summaries and decision-support documentation.
• Support mining approvals, regulatory compliance, closure planning and engagement with regulators where required.

About You

• Degree in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in mining, consulting or resource-sector water management.
• Experience with groundwater dewatering, water balance modelling, surface water and flood risk assessments, regulatory approvals, mine closure planning, technical reporting and consultant management.
