About the Role

The Senior Finance Business Partner – Facilities Maintenance is the strategic finance lead responsible for the financial performance and commercial management of Facilities Maintenance operations across a large, complex and multi-site contract portfolio. The role acts as a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, providing financial insight, commercial guidance and strategic support to improve profitability, operational performance and long-term contract sustainability.

The position leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business case development and commercial analysis for Facilities Maintenance operations. It plays a key role in evaluating investment decisions, workforce structures, subcontractor models, inventory management, asset investments and service delivery strategies to ensure informed decision making and optimal financial outcomes.

Working closely with operational leadership, the role challenges assumptions, identifies risks and opportunities, drives financial accountability and supports business transformation initiatives. The position also owns the Facilities Maintenance financial narrative, including P&L performance, cost-driver analysis, forecasts, budgets and governance reporting.

In addition, the role provides oversight of financial governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to Sodexo policies while supporting strategic growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the Facilities Maintenance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business case development and commercial analysis for Facilities Maintenance operations.
• Evaluate investment decisions, workforce structures, subcontractor models, inventory management, asset investments and service delivery strategies to ensure informed decision making and optimal financial outcomes.
• Work closely with operational leadership to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, drive financial accountability and support business transformation initiatives.
• Own the Facilities Maintenance financial narrative, including P&L performance, cost-driver analysis, forecasts, budgets and governance reporting.
• Provide oversight of financial governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to Sodexo policies while supporting strategic growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications & Certifications

Required

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
• 7+ years finance business partnering, commercial finance or cost control or finance business partnering experience.
• Demonstrated success influencing executive leaders within a large, complex operational environment.
• Significant experience leading business transformation and commercial improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence strategic business decisions and deliver measurable financial outcomes.
• Advanced Excel skills

Preferred

• Experience working in facilities management, maintenance, or operations-focused organizations.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or similar platforms
• Knowledge of cost accounting, activity-based costing, or operational cost management methodologies.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance metrics, KPIs, and industry benchmarks
