The Role

Reporting to the Principal Geologist, you will lead resource definition and extensional drilling programmes that turn discoveries into robust, reportable Mineral Resources. You'll work closely with the Exploration, Resource and site mining teams to move projects from discovery towards development.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and managing infill and extensional RC and diamond drilling programmes to increase resource confidence
• Logging and interpreting drilling results, and building the geological models that underpin resource estimates
• Working with Resource Geologists on wireframing, domaining and geological input to JORC (2012) Mineral Resource estimates
• Keeping data quality at reporting standard, including QAQC, sampling protocols and database integrity
• Leading and mentoring Project and Exploration Geologists and field teams on site
• Providing safety leadership as Statutory Supervisor, including running prestart and toolbox meetings

About You

We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on leader who enjoys proving up an orebody and thrives in a dynamic mining environment. You will bring:

• A tertiary degree in Geology, Geological Science or a related field
• Extensive experience in gold, with a strong background in resource definition, infill drilling or near-mine geology
• A solid understanding of the geological controls on mineralisation and how they shape resource models
• Experience working to JORC (2012) standards and applying robust QAQC practices
• Advanced skills in Micromine and ArcGIS (Leapfrog experience highly regarded)
• Completed or partially completed WHS risk management requirements, including the DEMIRS examination, for appointment as Statutory Supervisor
