Senior Electrical Engineer (Reliability) FIFO 8/6 Perth | Processing Plant | Technical Leadership Permanent Staff Position

Not every electrical engineering role gives you the opportunity to influence site-wide reliability, statutory compliance and long-term asset performance.

Partnering with a leading gold client, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer to take ownership of electrical reliability across a large-scale mining and mineral processing operation. Acting as the site’s key electrical SME, you'll provide technical leadership across critical plant infrastructure while supporting safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Working across milling, flotation, gravity recovery, thickening and power systems, you'll partner closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges, improve plant reliability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as the site's senior electrical engineering authority
• Leading electrical fault-finding, investigations and root cause analysis
• Developing and maintaining electrical standards, procedures and governance systems
• Managing statutory compliance and engineering risk
• Driving reliability improvement initiatives across fixed plant assets
• Supporting shutdown planning and major maintenance activities
• Mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance to site teams

What We're Looking For

• Electrical Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia
• Significant experience within mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or operational environments
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and WA mining legislation
• Experience investigating failures and improving asset reliability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills

Highly regarded

• Mining & resources, heavy industry are pertinent
• Statutory Supervisor experience
• Power generation and distribution experience
• SAP and maintenance strategy exposure
• Experience leading engineers or technical teams
