Senior Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity

Step into a key technical leadership role driving the delivery of a grid-connected solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. Influence design, optimise performance, and ensure successful project execution across the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering across FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning
• Deliver and review core designs:
  • HV/LV distribution, grid connection interfaces
  • Solar PV layouts, inverter systems, collector networks
  • BESS integration, controls, and interfaces
• Produce and verify technical deliverables: SLDs, protection schemes, earthing, cable sizing
• Drive design optimisation, cost efficiency, and constructability improvements
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and grid requirements
• Interface with OEMs, EPC/EPCM contractors, and project stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

About You

• Tertiary Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• 8–12+ years’ experience in power or renewable energy projects
• Strong background in:
  • Utility-scale solar PV systems
  • BESS integration and performance
  • HV/LV system design, protection & earthing
• Proven track record delivering projects through to commissioning
• Experience working within EPC/EPCM or owner’s teams
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders
