About the Role

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our Engineering Construction division, supporting the delivery of a major mining and minerals project in Western Australia.

This is a key commercial role supporting project leadership across a large-scale, multi-discipline project covering SMP and E&I scopes. The position will initially be based in our Perth office from May/June, with the opportunity to transition to site on a 2:1 roster as the project progresses.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the centre of project delivery—driving commercial outcomes, supporting decision-making, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims, variations, and contract closeout
  • Administer and manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project requirements
  • Prepare, assess, and negotiate variations, change orders, and claims (including EOTs)
  • Support project cost control, forecasting, and reporting to ensure commercial performance targets are achieved
  • Manage contract documentation including RFIs, TQs, site instructions (SIs), and purchase orders (POs)
  • Provide commercial advice and support to Project Managers and project teams
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and manage commercial risk across the project
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant legislation
  • Support site-based teams as required, including potential FIFO coverage

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a Senior Contract Administrator or similar role within mining, minerals, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong background working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
  • Demonstrated experience across SMP and E&I contracts (fabrication, construction, heavy lift highly regarded)
  • Solid understanding of contract law and its application within the resources sector
  • Experience with a variety of contract models (lump sum, schedule of rates, cost reimbursable, target cost, etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen, including cost control, forecasting, and change management
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying (highly regarded)
  • Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster
  • Valid right to work in Australia
