Business Intelligence Analyst

We’re seeking a hands‑on Business Intelligence Analyst to support the delivery of a major workforce planning and resource capability initiative within a large, operationally complex organisation. This role sits at the intersection of data, people and planning and is ideal for someone who enjoys building practical tools that help leaders make confident, evidence‑based workforce decisions.

Your new role

You will be responsible for designing, building and embedding workforce and resource planning solutions that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing workforce and resource planning models, primarily using advanced Excel and Power BI
• Building dashboards and reports that support operational and strategic decision‑making
• Developing forecasting and scenario models to assess workforce demand, capacity and future impacts
• Collecting, validating and analysing data to ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency
• Translating planning logic and assumptions into clear documentation and reporting frameworks
• Engaging directly with stakeholders to understand planning needs and deliver fit‑for‑purpose analytics solutions
• Supporting adoption by helping users understand and effectively use dashboards and planning tools
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and planning maturity

What you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for someone who can build the tools themselves, not just define requirements.
You’ll bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data analysis, analytics or workforce planning
• Strong, hands‑on capability in Excel modelling, including forecasting and scenario analysis
• Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard design, data transformation and ideally DAX
• Experience turning complex datasets into insights that are easily understood by non‑technical audiences
• Well‑developed stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to explain data clearly and credibly
• The ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables, and operate confidently in an evolving environment maturity
