About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Supervisor to join a major infrastructure project delivering a significant road construction project in a metropolitan environment. This is a key site-based position responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities across the project.
  • Oversee earthworks, road pavement construction and drainage works.
  • Coordinate site crews, subcontractors, plant and equipment to maintain project progress.
  • Monitor construction activities against project schedules, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Supervise the use of graders, loaders and other heavy civil construction equipment.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, coordinating with project management and engineering teams.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with relevant safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Contribute to planning, sequencing and efficient delivery of works.
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant road authority standards and project specifications.

About You

  • 10+ years' experience in civil construction or works supervision.
  • Proven experience delivering road construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, road pavements and drainage.
  • Experience supervising heavy civil plant, including graders, loaders and associated equipment.
  • Previous experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors.
  • Knowledge of public road authority requirements and standards.
  • Main Roads or Metronet project experience is highly regarded.
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline are advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
