In Australia, we own the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine and hold a 70% interest in the Tropicana Gold Mine (in partnership with Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with continued investment across both open pit and underground mining.
The Role
Location: Perth Office (5/2 roster) and requires regular travel to the AGA sites
As part of the Project Design Team, this role develops and manages the Electrical and Instrumentation portion of projects from Concept through to Implementation and Commissioning. It involves developing solutions for challenging situations and timeframes primarily in a Brownfield environment.
Accountable for carrying out electrical and instrumentation designs, managing external electrical contractors and consultants and providing technical support for on-site execution of the electrical and instrumentation portion of both capital and maintenance improvement.
Accountabilities
- Develop conceptual designs and execution strategies for electrical and instrumentation projects
- Manage and coordinate external design consultants to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Ensure all design work complies with statutory requirements and relevant national standards
- Develop and manage operational and capital project budgets
- Provide technical engineering support and advice for electrical and instrumentation infrastructure across site
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor level or equivalent), recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant industry experience, ideally within site-based project environments
- Proven experience across surface and underground mining infrastructure and project delivery
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects within agreed budgets and schedules
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
- Permanent work rights in Australia
- Flexibility to work onsite and for extended periods as required
