Security Guard

Downer has recently been awarded the Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, and we are looking for a casual Security Guard to join our team at Shellharbour Town Centre.

What's on Offer

These positions are paid in accordance with the Security Services Industry Award, with applicable penalty rates for night shifts and weekends.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Monitor the premises and conduct regular patrols.
• Control site access and manage visitors, contractors and deliveries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Provide general assistance while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records, follow procedures and liaise with relevant services when required.

What You'll Bring

• Certificate II in Security Operations (mandatory); Certificate III in Security Operations is desirable.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates (mandatory).
• Current Working with Children Check (mandatory).
• Experience monitoring CCTV, alarms and access control systems.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on de-escalation.

Successful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including a health declaration, police check and reference checks.
