SMP Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused SMP Supervisor with proven experience in Scaffolding Supervision, Rigging Supervision, and SMP works one of our major BHP projects on a FIFO 2:1 roster. This role will include a generous salary package and nightshift allowances.

The successful candidate will provide strong day-to-day leadership across site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production requirements, project specifications, and WA construction legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership of site personnel and contractors.
• Fulfil Section 26 statutory requirements in accordance with WA mining legislation.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with site safety management systems, procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Coordinate daily work activities to achieve production, project, and operational targets.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings, safety inspections, and incident reporting and investigations.
• Monitor work practices to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
• Mentor, support, and develop team members to maintain high standards of performance, safety, and accountability.
• Work collaboratively with project management, site teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works.

What You’ll Bring

• Section 26 statutory qualification/experience relevant to the position.
• Advanced Scaffolding qualification.
• Advanced Rigging qualification.
• Proven Crane and/or SMP Supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of safety requirements and site-based safety management systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
• A proactive approach to safety, quality, and operational performance.
