Our Opportunity

Cloudbreak – located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

Roster: 7D/7N/14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

Cloudbreak is seeking a Roller Technician to maintain, replace and align conveyor rollers (idlers), ensuring safe and efficient operation of conveyor systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain and replace conveyor rollers (idler sets)
  • Identify and rectify seized, damaged or misaligned rollers
  • Maintain roller frames, stands and associated components
  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor roller systems
  • Support shutdown and breakdown works focused on rollers
  • Monitor conveyor performance and identify roller-related faults
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to optimise reliability

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification (or similar experience)
  • Proven experience with conveyor rollers and idler systems
  • Strong fault-finding skills on rotating equipment
  • Experience in mining or heavy industry environments
  • Understanding of conveyor systems (roller-focused)
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
