Riggers & Trade Assistants – FIFO Shutdown Project

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Riggers and Trade Assistants to join our team for an upcoming FIFO shutdown project. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading company in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, with flights available from various locations and camp accommodation provided for the duration of the project.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a rigging background who have also worked in Trade Assistant roles, as well as experienced Trade Assistants with shutdown or maintenance experience.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing rigging and lifting activities in accordance with site procedures and lift plans
• Safely slinging, lifting and positioning equipment, structural components and materials
• Assisting tradespeople with maintenance, construction and shutdown activities
• Using hand and power tools to assist with general site and maintenance tasks
• Preparing work areas, materials and equipment for trades and work crews
• Inspecting lifting equipment, slings, shackles and other rigging gear prior to use
• Working with crane and lifting crews to safely coordinate and execute lifts
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition
• Following all company, client and site safety procedures

What you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Rigger and/or Trade Assistant in a mining, resources, construction or shutdown environment
• Current High Risk Work Licence – Rigging (RI or RA) for Rigger positions
• Current White Card
• Working at Heights training (within 2 years)
• Confined Space Entry training (within 2 years)
• Relevant shutdown experience is highly regarded
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• Proof of right to work in Australia
• Strong commitment to safety
