Join the Civmec Team
Civmec is seeking experienced Advanced and Intermediate Riggers to join our Construction team on our newly awarded Pilgangoora Project with Pilbara Minerals. We have immediate-start opportunities on a 2:1 roster, working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering a major construction project in the Pilbara, WA.
The Role
- Heavy Steel Erection
- Perform dual lifts and mathematical assessment
- Assist with lift plans and lifting activities.
- Align level and anchor machinery.
- Maintain and tag rigging gear as required.
- Ensure rigging gear is stored correctly.
- Attach appropriately rated rigging gear to existing structures to facilitate the movement of loads using chain blocks, pulleys, tirfors and lever hoists.
- Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition. Lock them away or return to store when not required.
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Current High Risk Rigging licence (RI and RA) and VOC
- Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
- Current High risk elevating work platform license (EWP) and VOC
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Previous experience on construction projects (Steel erection experience preferred)
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
