Resource Development Geologists | 8/6 Roster

About the Role

Protech is currently seeking experienced Resource Development Geologists to join our client — a growing, ASX-listed gold producer on an 8/6 roster.

• $840 per day ($70 p/h) + super on all working hours
• FIFO 8:6 (Days Only)
• Initial 3-months to ongoing, potential to perm
• Weekly Pay
• Super on all hours

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Geologist in delivering site-based resource development and geological activities.
• Conduct geological mapping, structural interpretation, and data collection to improve resource confidence.
• Assist with drilling programs and field-based geological work, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
• Maintain high-quality geological data and support its integration into resource modelling, estimation, and mine planning.
• Contribute to Mineral Resource growth through accurate geological analysis and interpretation.
• Provide technical geological input to stakeholders and support informed operational decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in geological understanding, data management, and risk reduction practices.

Skills & Experience Required

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally some exposure to mining operations
• Skilled in 3D mining and GIS software, preferably Leapfrog and QGIS
• An understanding of Eastern Goldfields geology and Archaean gold lode systems
• Concise and efficient at report writing and other geological documentation
