The Role

We are seeking a qualified Refrigeration Technician to join our Refrigeration team at Mount Isa Mines. This position plays a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Reporting to the Refrigeration Supervisor, you will show sound decision-making ability, effective communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working both in a team environment.

This is a day shift position operating on a 4 days on/4days off, 4 days on /2 days off.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, repair and maintenance air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Responding to plant breakdowns with the ability to prioritise to effectively manage downtime to a minimum
• Always demonstrating a high standard of professional workmanship and discretionary effort

About You / Requirements

• Safety as a core belief with a solution seeking attitude
• Queensland restricted electrical workers licence
• Refrigeration Handling Licence
• Australian manual drivers licence
• Extensive experience with installation and maintenance of chillers and large DX plants, package and split systems, water coolers, ice machines and cold rooms, air driers and pressurisation units
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new challenges, carry out responsibilities and continuously learn new technical skills
• Sound understanding of workplace Health, Safety and Environment requirements and safe work practices.
