About the Role

Raisebore Fitter | Redpath Mining | Western Australia Based Only | 8/6 Roster | Full-Time Permanent Role

We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will carry out general mechanical work, including repairs, breakdown response and servicing of heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment. The position involves working in both workshop and underground environments, ensuring equipment is maintained safely and efficiently to maximise operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on raisebore hydraulic/electric drilling units, including ancillary mobile plant and light vehicles.
• Diagnose faults and repair or replace components to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
• Ensure plant and equipment are maintained in compliance with site standards, safety requirements and regulations.
• Complete maintenance documentation, inspections, oil sampling and pre-start checks accurately and on time.
• Participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts, maintenance, safety and shift handover meetings.
• Identify and manage workplace risks, complete JSAs and Safe Stops, and assist with incident investigations as required.

About You

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment or Diesel Fitter trade qualification.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in an underground mining environment.
• Auto electrical knowledge.
• Valid Class C manual driver's licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team or independently.
