About the Role
Job Purpose
The Access Engineer primary function is to provide technical reviews of third-party applications, development applications and property leases, assisting the Principal Track and Corridor Engineer.
The position ensures compliance of applications against CRN Standards and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities
- Review content of third party works applications, development applications and property leases for Compliance against technical standards.
- Provide advice and input to the third party works officers for their approval briefs and license drafts
- Ensure the integrity of the CRN Network and Properties by ensuring impacts from third party works are minimised and based on technically sound engineering
- Work with applicants, designers, utilities and internal stakeholders to resolve non-compliances against Standards and other technical issues
- Assess Heavy Vehicle applications for Level Crossings on the CRN network
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience working for a railway network in a maintenance or asset management role
