Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Superintendent to join our HSETQ team, based at our Head Office in Perth CBD. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is responsible for providing operational quality management support across all Civil Projects within the Resources and Infrastructure Business Units, assisting in the development, implementation and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), project quality systems and document control processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence quality performance across a diverse portfolio of projects, working closely with operational leaders, project teams and key stakeholders to promote best practice, maintain compliance and drive a strong culture of continuous improvement.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:

  • Experience within the Civil Contracting sector
  • Audit qualifications such as Lead Auditor, Quality Auditor or Internal Auditor
  • Quality audit experience, including preparation of audit reports and management of corrective actions
  • ISO 9001 Introduction or Foundation training
  • Experience identifying and implementing corrective and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience in document control processes and systems
  • Understanding of project control systems, including ASITE
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Ability to undertake ad hoc travel to remote project sites, including multi-night stays
  • Bachelor of Engineering qualification (Desirable)

As a Quality Superintendent, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing operational quality support and advice to the Quality Manager, General Managers and project teams across the Civil Business Units
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and continual improvement of the Civil Business Unit Quality Strategy
  • Supporting the development, rollout and ongoing management of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Providing leadership, guidance and technical support to Project Quality Management Representatives across all Civil projects
  • Assisting project teams with Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including Quality Management Plans, project quality controls and Manufacturers Data Records
  • Supporting projects in maintaining third-party quality accreditations and compliance requirements
  • Delivering training and ongoing support in quality management systems and document control processes
  • Planning, coordinating and conducting audits of subcontractors, suppliers and project activities
  • Preparing audit reports and managing corrective actions through to close-out
  • Supporting tender submissions and quality-related prequalification activities
  • Representing the Quality function at operational meetings and providing updates on quality performance, risks and improvement initiatives
  • Managing and optimising project document control systems, including configuration, rollout and user support within ASITE
  • Monitoring and reporting on Quality Objectives and KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
