About the Company

Our client, a leading Planning and Project Management Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support their Mining and Commercial clients across long-term and high-value projects. The role focuses on true project planning, with schedules spanning greenfields, brownfields and SusCap projects.

The role focuses on true project planning, with schedules spanning greenfields, brownfields and SusCap projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and integrate project schedules
Provide schedule analysis and performance insights
Support project forecasting and reporting activities
Develop detailed Level 3 and Level 4 schedules to support project execution and delivery.
Collaborate with engineering, project controls, and delivery teams
Contribute to the successful delivery of large, complex projects

Essential Technical Experience

Extensive planning experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, or heavy industrial project environments
Proven capability developing and maintaining P6 project schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and SMP construction
Experience supporting front-end planning, scope breakdown, sequencing, constraints analysis, and schedule risk identification
Strong understanding of project controls, critical path, progress measurement, and reporting
Ability to work with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and site stakeholders to validate progress and maintain schedule accuracy

Systems & Software

High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Primavera P6)
Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to changing systems

Attributes

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge inputs
Immediate availability is highly regarded
