About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing regional construction and maintenance company as a Project Manager, leading critical mining and civil projects across remote sites. This full-time role offers the opportunity to coordinate cross-functional teams, cultivate strong client relationships, and deliver projects on time and within budget in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Overview
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of major projects—from initial proposal and award to commissioning and handover—while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained. You will be the key point of contact for clients and team members, driving project success and fostering business growth. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who thrive in remote environments and are committed to delivering excellence in the mining and civil sectors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing large-scale mining and civil projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Expertise in project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Proficiency in MS Project, SAP, or equivalent project management software
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
- Knowledge of WHS standards and quality assurance processes
- Contract administration experience, including variations, claims, and procurement
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with shutdowns, maintenance campaigns, or capital works
- Familiarity with site inductions for major companies (e.g., FMG, BHP, RIO)
- Experience working in remote or indigenous communities
Preferred Education and Experience
- Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Demonstrated success in project management within the construction or resource sector
- Valid Driver’s License (C Class)
- Preferably RTIO, BHP & Fortescue inducted
