Project Engineer

About the Company

Our client is amongst the world’s top producers of major commodities, including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from their production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.

About the Role

• Manage underground mechanical and civil infrastructure projects from planning through to execution and close-out.
• Coordinate contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule and in line with site requirements.
• Develop scopes of work, manage vendor engagement and support the implementation of engineering designs in an operational environment.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, opportunities and key milestones, providing clear communication across project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity and operational performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• A tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience working within an underground mining environment.
• Exposure to project delivery, with a strong desire to develop your project management capabilities.
• Proficiency with mining and project software including Deswik, AutoCAD and Primavera P6.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across operational, technical and contractor teams.
