Monadelphous is seeking a motivated and driven Project Engineer to join our Gladstone Operations team in a permanent, full-time position.

This opportunity is ideally suited to Gladstone-based engineers or those already living in the surrounding region who are looking to build a long-term career while enjoying the benefits of being home every night.

Working Monday to Friday, you'll provide engineering and project support to a high-performing operations team while building strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating site support functions including Quality, Technical, Planning, and Commercial activities.
• Assisting with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
• Preparing and managing project documentation, reports, and commercial records.
• Supporting tender submissions, estimating activities, and project execution.
• Developing work packs, methodologies, ITPs, and QA documentation.
• Completing material take-offs, procurement activities, and scope reviews.
• Monitoring project performance against budget and schedule targets.
• Identifying and managing variations and commercial opportunities.
• Participating in client and contractor meetings and providing practical engineering solutions.
• Supporting safe project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will bring

• Experience in an on-site engineering role within the resources, mining, energy, or heavy industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Australian recognised).
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including 3D Models, General Arrangements (GAs), Isometrics and P&IDs.
• Experience completing material take-offs and procurement activities.
• Exposure to tendering, estimating, and methodology development.
• Project controls experience, including scheduling, cost management, and reporting.
• Ability to develop work packages and quality documentation for execution teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• High-level written and technical reporting capability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Full Australian working rights.
