Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life.  The hub includes a central processing plant that supports the wider regional mining portfolio, with major expansion and upgrade projects currently underway.

About the Role

As Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering small to medium-scale capital projects in an operational mining environment. This hands-on role will see you provide technical leadership and engineering assurance across design, construction and commissioning, working closely with site stakeholders to safely deliver projects that support the future growth of the Mount Magnet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and oversight across the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning and handover
• Review and manage engineering documentation to ensure safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose project outcomes
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues, ensure availability of work areas, and drive project delivery
• Support project controls including scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting and progress reporting
• Monitor construction and commissioning activities, ensuring quality standards and design requirements are met
• Manage engineering risks and ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation and company requirements
• Maintain project records, as-built documentation and handover packages
• Promote a strong safety culture and provide visible leadership in the field

About You

You are a practical and collaborative individual who enjoys working in a dynamic site-based environment and seeing projects through from concept to completion. You have experience delivering capital projects in mining or heavy industrial operations, with strong technical judgment, a proactive approach to communication, and a commitment to safe, high-quality project outcomes.

You bring to the role

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Construction or a related technical discipline
• Experience delivering engineering or capital projects within operational mining, processing, or heavy industrial environments
• Exposure the full project lifecycle including design review, construction, commissioning and handover
• A formal qualification in Project Management would be highly regarded
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary site teams
• Solid understanding of project controls, engineering documentation and compliance requirements
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification is preferred
