Project Engineer

About the Role

Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with 12-hour shifts, you will support the successful delivery of underground mining operations through planning, technical expertise and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-term mine development and production plans.
• Monitor and optimise underground mining activities to achieve contract targets.
• Manage engineering and temporary works designs.
• Coordinate subcontractor quotations, awards and project execution.
• Provide technical support and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contract specifications.
• Support project cost control, forecasting and monthly claims.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, safety and operational performance.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Mining Engineer, ideally within an underground mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of underground development and production mining methods.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client and contractor relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• A positive attitude aligned with Redpath's commitment to “Consider it done - safely.”
