About the Company
Our client is a leading and high-quality Western Australian owned native plant nursery that focuses on supplying plants to clients across the state. On average, they have approx. 5 million plants at their nursery in Perth's Northeast Suburbs and as a result of ongoing growth, they are currently looking for an experienced, permanent full-time Production Team Leader to join and lead their production team.
About the Role
Permanent, full-time Production Team Leader based in Perth North Eastern Suburbs, focusing on leading a production team of about 6-10 employees to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
Location: Perth North Eastern Suburbs; Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 + Super (Pending Experience); Type: Permanent, Full-Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating the daily production team, allocating tasks, monitoring progress and adjusting priorities as required.
- Conducting daily toolbox talks and regular team check-ins, providing feedback and support, and addressing issues or escalations.
- Training and onboarding new and casual team members, conducting competency assessments and identifying ongoing training needs.
- Working alongside the team on production tasks while maintaining plant health, grading and quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with PPE, hygiene, safety and relevant nursery standards, while promoting a positive, respectful and high-performing team culture.

How to be successful
- Previous experience in a team leading, superior or leading hand position.
- Experience working in a production environment (doesn't have to be within the nursery / planting industry).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide feedback when required
- Full Australian working rights.
- A valid Australian Drivers License and reliable car
