Permanent, Full-Time Position
Our client is a leading and high-quality Western Australian owned native plant nursery that focuses on supplying plants to clients across the state. On average, they have approx. 5 million plants at their nursery in Perth's Northeast Suburbs and as a result of ongoing growth, they are currently looking for an experienced Team Leader, Supervisor or Leading Hand who has worked in a production based environment.
What will this position entail?
This role will see you overseeing a production team of about 6 - 10 production employees to ensure the operations of the production department run smoothly and on time.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate the daily production team, allocate tasks and monitor progress.
- Conducting daily toolbox talks and regular team check-ins, providing feedback, and addressing issues.
- Training and onboarding new team members, conducting competency assessments and identifying ongoing training needs.
- Supporting the team on production tasks to maintain plant health, grading and quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and relevant nursery standards, while promoting a positive and high-performing team culture.

How can I be successful?
- Previous experience in a team leading, supervisor or leading hand position.
- Experience working in a production environment (No nursery experience required! Open to candidates from manufacturing, warehousing, horticulture or other production environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide feedback when required
- Full Australian working rights.
- A valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable car
