About the Role

Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

Support Critical Defence Capability

Downer Professional Services (DPS) is seeking a highly organised Product Support Officer to join the Integrated Warfare Networks and Systems Program Office (IWNSPO), supporting the sustainment of Joint Data Networks capability within a complex Defence environment.

This role is ideal for a governance, administration, logistics or sustainment professional who enjoys coordinating stakeholders, managing information, and supporting the delivery of critical Defence capability outcomes. Working within an Integrated Product Team, you will play a key role in maintaining governance, managing records, supporting sustainment activities and ensuring Defence information is managed accurately and effectively.

About the Role

As the Product Support Officer, you will provide governance, administrative and sustainment support to the Integrated Product Team, helping ensure capability remains available, compliant and operationally effective. You will coordinate meetings, manage records and correspondence, maintain action registers and support the tracking of contractor deliverables and sustainment activities.

Working closely with Defence personnel, industry partners and stakeholders, you will contribute to governance, reporting and information management activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sustainment, governance and administrative activities across the Integrated Product Team.
  • Coordinate meetings, stakeholder engagements, action tracking and governance reporting.
  • Manage records, documentation and correspondence in accordance with Defence requirements.
  • Support contractor deliverable tracking, reporting and information management activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sustainment and governance outcomes.

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience supporting governance, administration, logistics, sustainment or project activities within a complex environment.

You enjoy working collaboratively across Defence, industry and support organisations and have the ability to balance operational, technical and commercial considerations to achieve successful capability outcomes

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience supporting governance, sustainment, logistics, administration or product support activities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, minutes and briefing materials.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.

More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
