Procurement and Expediting Officer

About the Role

• Permanent full-time position
• 76 hours per fortnight
• You will process purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, expediting deliveries, and monitor order progress
• Working closely with the Procurement team and Inventory Specialist
• Ensure purchasing requests and stock replenishment requirements are actioned accurately, efficiently, and on time

Section criteria:

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain administration, inventory support or a similar operational support role.
• Practical understanding of purchasing administration and the Procure-to-Pay process, including purchase orders, confirmations, receipting and invoice query follow-up.
• Experience working with suppliers, internal stakeholders and operational teams to obtain information and resolve purchasing issues.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel.
• Experience using Pronto or a similar ERP/materials management system, or the ability to learn system processes quickly.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, organisation and follow-through when managing purchase orders, supplier data and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a professional approach to supplier and stakeholder contact.
