About the Opportunity

Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking experienced Process Operators to join a safety-focused team at Bell Bay Smelter. You’ll work alongside experienced crews, supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to safe and reliable outcomes.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Strong manual handling capability and physical fitness
• Ability to work in hot, dusty, high-risk environments
• Strong situational awareness and hazard recognition
• Ability to follow detailed processes (SWIs/SOPs) and communicate via radio
• Willingness to work 12-hour day and night shifts
• Commitment to PPE compliance (long sleeves, heat-resistant gear, respirator, gloves, etc.)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
• Comfortable working in a respirator and around magnetic fields

Nice to Have

• Exposure to industrial environments (smelting, mining, manufacturing)
• Previous shift work experience
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

Role Demands (Important to Note)

• High physical workload, including lifting up to 25kg, pushing wheelbarrows, raking and manual skimming
• Working around high temperatures, dust, molten metal and moving machinery
