Plant Mechanic Machine Rebuilds

Your new role as the Plant Mechanic for Machine Rebuilds will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

About Welshpool

The Mining Rebuilds workshop at Welshpool, WA, offers cost-effective rebuilds and repairs for Caterpillar equipment. We specialise in certified rebuilds, powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Location: Welshpool

Roster- 7Days, 7Off, 7Nights, 7Off, 12.5hrs Inclusive of a 30min unpaid meal break OR5days on, 2 off (2 weeks of days, 1 week of nights)

What you'll do:

• You will be part of a team to complete rebuilds and component change outs on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment
• You will work on a variety of equipment which includes D10 and D11 Dozers, 992 Wheel Loaders, 24M Graders and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (777F – 793F)

Skills & Experience:

• Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification
• Caterpillar product knowledge, ideally component change out experience
• Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS) desirable
• Dedication to a safe working environment and quality work for our customers
• Ability to work night shifts, additional hours and weekends/extra days as required to support the team
• Ability to work within a team & autonomously
