The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the authorisation and issue of Work Permits for Murrin Murrin Operations Processing Plant.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring permits are prepared and remain compliant with our procedures throughout the permit to work process
  • Confirming that hazards and controls are clearly defined and signed off by authorised personnel
  • The preparation of work permits and assigning of Isolation Lists are specific to the scope of work
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure the isolation of equipment is undertaken safely
  • Ensuring JSEA’s / Work Instruction’s / Team Based Risk Assessments (TBRAs) have been received from the Permit Acceptor
  • Authorising the issue of Permits and Certificates

About You

This role would suit a highly organised and customer focused professional looking to develop their career within mining. You will also have:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Exposure to hazard identification and management (advantageous)
  • An understanding of isolations, P&IDs, work permit processes, WHS requirements, legislation and risk assessment processes (advantageous)
  • The ability to coordinate with multiple people across departments
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Clear understanding of integrated management systems, word processing, presentations and spread sheets
