This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in stabilising and improving payroll processes while supporting a large, diverse workforce.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
• Managing high-volume weekly and fortnightly payrolls
• Interpreting and applying multiple awards and EBA conditions
• Processing FIFO allowances including meal and travel allowances
• Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and timely delivery
• Managing payroll queries and stakeholder communication
• Identifying process improvements and supporting system optimisation
• Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will possess:

• Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience in a complex environment
• Experience managing multiple awards and high-volume payrolls
• Exposure to large ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Alternatively, strong experience using large ERP payroll systems
• Understanding of casual, permanent and FIFO workforce payroll requirements
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
