About the Role

Gold Fields are looking for an experienced underground professional who understands pastefill operations and is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

You’ll play a key role in supervising safe, efficient pastefill activities, mentoring your crew and ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Unit Manager Underground Mining, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on leadership, teamwork and achieving results. If you’re ready to step up and make your mark underground, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• FIFO from Perth with an 8/6 even-time roster at Agnew gold mine
• Leading and supervising underground paste crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to schedule
• Coordinating pastefill schedules with underground mining and capturing schedules in weekly and monthly planning
• Planning pastefill operations, managing paste-associated contractors, and QAQC of paste samples
• Monitoring pastefill operations, identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site safety systems and procedures
• Coaching, training and mentoring crews to build capability and a high-performance culture

Skills & Qualifications

• Pastefill experience will be highly regarded; however, experienced underground supervisors, pastefill and backfill personnel, or engineers with strong underground operational understanding, planning skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Strong understanding of underground infrastructure, processes and procedures, and ability to plan and forecast
• Demonstrated leadership capability and able to motivate and guide underground paste crews
• WA Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor Certificate, or ability to obtain before commencement
• Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
