We are partnered with a well-known company in Kwinana for the recruitment of a new Occupational Hygiene Advisor.

About the Role

• Based in Kwinana
• 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Initial 6 month contract with a competitive hourly rate

Key Responsibilities

• Focus on hygiene and safety as adding value and target opportunities to continually improve.
• Work collectively with internal/external departments to improve hygiene and safety.
• Integrating hygiene and safety within all business processes
• Evaluating occupational hygiene risks and exposures on site and regular reporting to operational areas on risk assessment and occupational hygiene monitoring results.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining occupational hygiene management systems as required by risk assessment programs.
• Report on hygiene and safety performance of facility and participate in company wide trend analysis.
• Minimise risk to employee's health by assisting in the planning and implementation of effective employee hygiene strategies.
• Support safety meetings by encouraging active participation of all supervision/management.
• Communicate, distribute and promote relevant hygiene and safety information such as toolbox talks.

About You / Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Occupational Hygiene Role
• Previous experience in a heavy industrial operation, preferable Chemical or Oil/Gas or a Major Hazard Facility
• Proficient in Cority for database management
• Qualifications as Noise and Ventilation Officer
• Qualifications as a Mine Air Quality Officer
• Membership to the AIOH
