About the Role

Underground Nippers to support mining operations at the Federation Mine. This role is suited to individuals looking to build or further develop a career in underground mining within a structured and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Jumbo Operators and Charge-Up crews with development activities
• Conduct service runs delivering materials, explosives, and consumables to headings
• Set up and maintain services including ventilation, water, and air lines
• Bogging and clean-up duties as required
• Install and remove ground support materials under supervision
• Perform pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
• Maintain housekeeping standards across work areas
• Complete shift reports and safety documentation
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses

About You / Requirements

• Previous underground mining experience preferred (entry-level considered depending on site requirements)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop within underground operations
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Valid manual driver’s licence
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
• Ability to work rotating rosters (2/2, days and nights)
