Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our Engineering team on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. The role which reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

· Developing and implement improvement initiatives including projects to ensure reliable operation of assets

· Ensuring engineering processes are adhered to and compliance with relevant legislation

· Liasing with external suppliers and equipment OEM’s to maintain relationships but to also drive quality and on time delivery within budget

· Creating and maintaining budgets for life of mine period

· Assisting the operational departments where required in relation to technical advice

· Providing visible leadership and driving the safety culture

Requirements of the role include:

· Relevant electrical engineering qualifications

· Demonstrated experience with PLC/SCADA/PCN networks, industrial power systems, electrical design principles, protection systems and substitutions/switch rooms will be highly regarded.

· Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, be an engaged and driven individual

· Experience in failure modes effects, critical analysis facilitation and ICAM or TapRoot facilitation will be highly regarding
