We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based at Tritton Operations as an Apprentice Diesel Fitter.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you will:

• Learn to maintain and repair heavy mining machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform servicing tasks.
• Work safely within a mining operation.
• Develop practical skills alongside qualified tradespeople.
• Complete your trade qualification while gaining real-world experience.

What you bring

• Valid manual driver’s licence.
• Relevant work experience, a trades pre-apprenticeship, or demonstrated prior knowledge will be highly regarded.
• Willingness to contribute towards the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to health, safety and environmental work practices.
• Ability to follow direction and procedures, while showing initiative and seeking improvement opportunities.

The Company

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and, as we look to bring more mines into production, we are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
