About the Company
Our client is a leading Australian engineering and maintenance company supporting the mining industry through specialist field service and maintenance solutions. Due to upcoming project requirements, they are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their team working across two sites just outside of Kalgoorlie.
About the Role
This role will focus on maintaining and repairing mobile crushing equipment. Candidates with crushing experience are highly regarded, however those with a strong fixed plant or heavy mechanical background, as well as experienced Trade Assistants looking to develop their skills, are encouraged to apply.
Location: Kalgoorlie, WA Roster: 2:1 | 1 Week Days / 1 Week Nights Accommodation: Camp accommodation provided Employment Type: Casual Pay Rate: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour + Super (Flat Rate)
The Role
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mobile crushing equipment
- Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Complete servicing, inspections and component replacements
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability
- Follow site safety procedures and complete required documentation
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Heavy Duty Fitter or similar
- Experience with mobile crushing, fixed plant or heavy machinery maintenance
- Exposure to crushers, conveyors, screening equipment or similar plant is advantageous
- Sandvik, Metso, Terex, Kleemann or similar equipment experience highly regarded
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to provide a clean National Police Clearance
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
