The roster is a continuous 8:6 (12 hour shifts).

About the role

Reporting directly to the Superintendent Mine Engineering the Ventilation Engineer is responsible for ensuring sufficient ventilation is supplied to all underground mining areas across the Mungari Operation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Primary and secondary ventilation surveys as required to align with Legislation.
• Maintain the Ventsim models for each mine site and complete ventilation planning for Life of Mine (LOM) requirements.
• Develop and maintain ventilation plans and registers and ensure all gas measuring equipment is calibrated and repaired as required.
• Manage ventilation contractors and fan systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on shared responsibilities to broaden your experience.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values, safety principles and ensure statutory compliance as a minimum.
• Opportunity to mentor or lead junior engineers.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high standard of work.

Key attributes you will also possess include:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
• 2 + year’s experience working as a Ventilation Engineer.
• Proven experience using Ventsim modelling software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills communicating numerical and graphical information.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
• A strong focus on safety and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
