About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Mining Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Senior Mining Engineer and operates on a roster of 15 days on, 13 days off.
Your focus will be on planning and controlling underground production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of the mine plan.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning and designing underground production activities to enable the safe and efficient execution of the mine plan.
- Developing, issuing, and maintaining drilling, charging, and blasting designs and associated documentation.
- Contributing to production, ground control, and statutory management plans.
- Monitoring production performance and completing stope reconciliations against plans and forecasts.
- Applying quality control processes to ensure drilling and charging activities meet design and safety standards.
- Collaborating closely with underground operations and technical services teams to deliver coordinated production outcomes.
About You / Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have proven post-graduation experience as a Mining Engineer, including exposure to working in underground environments, and will have completed their underground practical time.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in mining engineering.
- A sound understanding of underground mining operations, including production and development practices, and associated enabling activities.
- Previous experience completing underground design work and issuing plans.
- Proficiency in mine design software (Deswik preferred, but not essential).
- A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
