Job Description
Stellar Recruitment is proud to partner with Glencore to recruit a Mine Surveyor for the George Fisher Mine, one of Australia's largest and most technically advanced underground zinc, lead and silver mining operations.
Working within the Technical Services team, you'll provide accurate and timely surveying services that directly support underground production, mine planning and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate underground and surface surveying services to support mining operations.
- Complete underground development, production and void surveys.
- Conduct volume surveys using autonomous drone technology.
- Maintain mine survey databases and ensure plans accurately reflect underground workings.
- Produce and distribute survey plans and operational drawings.
- Maintain survey control networks and spatial data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with Mining, Geotechnical and Technical Services teams.
- Mentor graduates, cadets and new team members where required.
- Promote safe work practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- An Associate Degree (or higher) in Surveying, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Surveyors Board of Queensland.
- At least 2 years' underground hard rock mine surveying experience, or 4+ years' mine surveying experience.
- Experience using Deswik Survey, Leica, Trimble or similar mine surveying software and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of underground survey practices and mine planning processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative technical team.
- A current manual driver's licence.
