Mine Geologist

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting mining operations through grade control, geological interpretation, production support and reconciliation activities. We are seeking geologists from either open-pit or underground backgrounds, with opportunities available across both mining environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Grade control drilling design, execution, logging and interpretation.
• Geological mapping, sampling and data collection to support mining activities.
• Daily production monitoring and reconciliation of mined material.
• Ore mark-up and provision of geological guidance to mining crews.
• Interpretation and modelling of mineralised systems to support short-term mine planning.
• Working closely with operational and technical teams to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Maintaining geological databases and ensuring data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Assisting with resource definition and near-mine drilling programmes.
• Supporting and mentoring graduate geologists and geological technicians where required.

About You

• A Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience in a Mine Geologist, Grade Control Geologist or Production Geologist role in Western Australia.
• Experience using geological software such as Surpac, Micromine, Leapfrog or similar packages.
• Understanding of grade control practices, reconciliation processes and production reporting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with mining and technical teams.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to obtain site clearances as required.
