Mine Control Operator (Jundee Operations)

Northern Star Resources currently has a site-based opportunity for a Mine Control Operator to join the team at our Jundee Operations, working an ongoing 8/6 roster, on a permanent & full-time basis. Working in the Underground Mining division, this opportunity will suit a high-performing individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about their growth and development.

Here’s what awaits you.

• Monitor and capture data for all underground activities with the mine control team.
• Conducting data validation with key stakeholders on a daily to monthly basis.
• Maintain operating systems, data capture and reporting.
• Operate and manage mine communication and monitoring systems.
• Monitor ventilation, emergency response and safety management systems.
• Coordinate responses to alarms, incidents and operational disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with underground personnel, supervisors, emergency response teams and site personnel.
• Perform administrative duties.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous underground operations experience.
• Exposure to Deswik Ops and SCADA would be highly desirable.
• A sound knowledge of underground machinery and equipment.
• Experience using multi-channel radio communication networks.
• Sound computer literacy & strong database administration skills.
