Mechanical Trade Assistant

Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Trade Assistant for our client, a WA-owned manufacturer and supplier to the construction and building industry. This role is based in Perth's north-east suburbs and will commence on a contract basis with a view to permanency within 3 months.

The Role
Working as part of the maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Mechanical Fitters with repairs and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment
• Supporting preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime
• Helping with installation, assembly, and commissioning of machinery and equipment
• General workshop and maintenance support duties as required
• Forklift operating duties

About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant or similar role
• Exposure to fixed plant maintenance (highly regarded)
• Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Current forklift licese (essential)
• Permanent residency or full Australian work rights (no working holiday visas)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

What's on Offer

• $41.84 per hour + super, with penalties paid on hours worked over 38 per week
• Stable, day-shift hours; 6am - 2:06pm | Mon - Fri
