Mechanical Reliability Engineer
Evolution Mining
Job Description

- Shape maintenance strategies for critical mining assets
- Residential or FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns – 8/6 Roster
Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
As a Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maximising the performance, reliability and lifecycle of critical mining and processing assets at Ernest Henry Operations.
Partnering with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering teams, you'll drive reliability strategies, lead improvement initiatives and solve complex asset challenges that directly influence safety, production and operational performance across the site.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact at a long-life operation, combining technical expertise, innovation and engineering excellence to deliver lasting business outcomes.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and optimise reliability strategies and maintenance programs for critical plant and infrastructure assets
- Lead reliability improvement projects from concept through to implementation and commissioning
- Drive predictive and preventative maintenance initiatives to improve equipment performance and availability
- Partner with Maintenance teams to identify and implement engineering improvements and reliability solutions
- Provide technical support, coaching and guidance to operational and maintenance teams
- Analyse asset performance data and prepare reports that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Why Ernest Henry Operations?
Ernest Henry is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio. It has high-quality equipment, high standards and a great management team. With a mine life to 2040 and doubled ore reserves, there are countless opportunities for people to evolve and give their career an uplift.
