About the Role

Play a key role in delivering the projects that keep Northparkes operating, improving and growing. As our Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll join the Sustaining Capital team and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of mechanical projects, helping turn concepts into practical solutions that create lasting value across site.

With the flexibility of a 9 day fortnight - 5:2/4:3 roster, this residential role offers the opportunity to enjoy a great lifestyle while contributing to meaningful capital projects. From developing scopes and engineering solutions through to project delivery and contractor engagement, your work will have a direct impact on the success of the operation.

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical, you'll:

• Deliver mechanical capital projects safely, efficiently and successfully
• Develop scopes of work that drive quality project outcomes
• Improve plant infrastructure through sustaining capital initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders, contractors and operational teams
• Influence project performance across safety, cost, schedule and quality
• Build solutions that support the long-term success of the operation

Does this sound like you?

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience delivering projects within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or construction
• Strong project planning, stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills
• Ability to develop scopes of work and technical documentation
• Experience managing contractors or project work packages
• Current driver's licence
• A proactive and solutions focused approach

Highly regarded:

• SAP experience
• AutoCAD or Inventor capability
• Structural, steelwork or construction project experience
• Defence or other heavy industrial project environments
