Mechanical Fitter - Underground

We are seeking experienced Underground Mechanical Fitters for a FIFO opportunity within the WA mining sector.

This is a temp-to-perm position paying $80 per hour, offering long-term career opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing and repairs of underground crushers, feeders and crushing circuits.
• Fault-finding, maintenance and repairs of hydraulic systems, pumps and cylinders.
• Inspection, servicing and repairs of underground hoisting systems.
• Preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and mechanical component change-outs.
• Ensuring underground mechanical equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Essential Requirements

• Previous underground mining experience – preferred but not essential.
• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Proven experience with crushers, hydraulics and hoisting systems – essential.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining underground fixed plant equipment.
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
