Mechanical Fitter

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a Structural, Mechanical & Piping project for an ongoing opportunity offering excellent rates, flights from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns accommodation, and meals will be provided for during the rostered period.

Your New Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical installation and maintenance work while ensuring all project deadlines and safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical installation and assembly of plant and equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Complete QA and project documentation
• Work safely in line with site procedures and standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to achieve project outcomes

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
• Experience with alignment and soft foot corrections
• Previous SMP project experience highly regarded (Install Control room, Construct HPU building, Cement Silo Install, Mixer Structure)
• Strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
