An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to step into a key leadership role supporting our Australian and international operations. You’ll lead a finance team, partner with senior leaders and operational stakeholders, and turn complex financial data into clear, practical commercial insights.With a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting, you’ll help enhance reporting, KPIs and dashboards while driving better visibility of business performance. This role offers genuine scope to influence decision-making, improve how financial information is used across the business and support operations across Australia, Indonesia, Botswana and Kazakhstan.Ideal for a commercially minded CA/CPA qualified finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, leading people and making a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

Lead the Finance Business Partnering function across Australian and international operations.Partner with senior leaders, Commercial and Operational teams to provide financial insight and commercial advice.Lead budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting and financial planning activities.Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities.Develop financial models, scenario analysis and cost-benefit analysis to support business decisions.Enhance management reporting, dashboards and KPIs to provide clear, actionable insights.Improve reporting processes, automation, data quality and consistency across the business.Work with Commercial teams to compare tender assumptions against actual project performance.Lead, support and develop a geographically diverse finance team.Build strong relationships across Australia, Indonesia, Botswana and Kazakhstan.Present financial insights and recommendations clearly to senior management and key stakeholders.Travel periodically to Australian and international operations as required.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with current CA or CPA qualification.Strong FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience, with demonstrated capability across budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical business insights.Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop people, manage priorities and build a collaborative team environment.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.Experience within mining, resources, contracting or another complex operational environment will be highly regarded.Exposure to international operations and working with geographically and culturally diverse stakeholders will be advantageous.Experience with Oracle Fusion, Pronto, Power BI or similar ERP and reporting platforms will be advantageous.Highly analytical and detail focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
